Effective July 1, 2026, the Miniature American Shepherd was officially recognized by The Royal Kennel Club (UK) and classified in the Pastoral Group on the Imported Breed Register.
In exciting news for our breed, the MASCUSA Board has been informed by The Royal Kennel Club that we could designate our National Specialty as the official qualifying show for Crufts!
Crufts Eligibility Requirements:
- Qualifying Placements (US Entries): Recipients of Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex, Bred-by-Exhibitor (if offered), Awards of Merit, and Select positions are eligible to enter. - UK Regulations: To compete, all dogs must meet the strict requirements set forth by The Royal Kennel Club. Please note that under UK law, dogs with cropped ears or docked tails are not eligible to compete in any Royal Kennel Club licensed events, including Crufts.
