Top 20, Top 10 Owner Handled & People’s Choice Awards

MASCUSA sponsors the Top 20 Showcase and Top 10 Owner Handled event to showcase excellence in Miniature American Shepherds. The Top 20 Showcase is a part of the National event and is meant to educate and entertain judges, exhibitors and breeders. The Top 20 Showcase event provides special recognition to those Miniature American Shepherds that have outstanding records according to Canine Chronicle. The Top 10 Owner Handled Showcases the top ten Miniature American Shepherds according to AKC.

The Top 20 and Top 10 Owner Handled showcases feature the best Miniature American Shepherds from the country. Each dog is evaluated by three judges: a Handler Judge, and AKC Judge, and a Breeder Judge using a scale of points to evaluate how closely it conforms to the breed standard. Each event is judged separately, utilizing the same three judges.

People’s Choice is decided by the “people” who cast a ballot during the showcase event and choose between the Miniature American Shepherds who choose to compete in the event.
